Men's Tennis to Host Jacksonville on Saturday

ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - On Saturday, the UCF men's tennis team hosts Jacksonville in the Knights' final regular season match. First serve at the UCF Tennis Complex is set for 11 a.m.

The match is part of UCF's inaugural hall of fame weekend.

The Knights (10-8) have won seven of their last 10 matches, and are coming off a 4-3 win against No. 72 Florida Atlantic last week at home.

Juniors Tarek Ben Soltane (Tunis, Tunisia), Brock Sakey (Gulf Breeze, Fla./Gulf Breeze) and freshman Claudio Romano (Valencia, Venezuela) are in a three-way tie for the most singles victories on the team with 11. Romano is riding a nine-match winning streak.

In doubles play, the Knights have received strong play from Sakey and sophomore Johan Beigart (Vaxjo, Sweden). The duo has the most wins in doubles action with 11 and is 8-2 at court two.

On Wednesday, Jacksonville (7-11) fell at North Florida 6-1.

Jordi Ballester and Francisco Riveroll pace the Dolphins with nine singles wins apiece. Ballester holds a 9-6 mark at No. 1, while Riveroll is 9-6 on court three.

Following the match against the Dolphins, UCF will have five days before playing in the Conference USA Championship on April 18 in Dallas, Texas.
