ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The UCF men's golf team was rewarded for its strong 2007-08 campaign this week when the Knights entered the top 25 in the Golf World/Nike Golf Division I Coaches' Poll. UCF is 24th in the poll, which will appear in the April 4th issue of Golf World.

The Knights have competed in eight events this season and have posted three top-three finishes, including a victory at the UCF Rio Pinar Invitational in Orlando in February. In its last event on March 25, UCF finished eighth at the Hootie at Bulls Bay in South Carolina. The event featured 11 of the top-50 squads in the country and the Knights finished ahead of four ranked teams, including No. 11 Duke and No. 14 Wake Forest.

Head coach Nick Clinard's squad is also prevalent in two other rankings. The Knights are No. 17 in the Golfstat Head-to-Head Standings and are ranked 20th in the Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index.

UCF will return to action on Monday, competing at the Morris Williams Intercollegiate in Austin, Texas.
