ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - Fans looking to experience the excitement at Bright House Networks Stadium this upcoming football season are invited to participate in UCF's public new season ticket select-a-seat event on Saturday, April 12. The event at the stadium begins at 11 a.m. and will precede the Knights' spring football game.
Members of the UCF ticket sales staff will be on hand to show potential season-ticket holders available seats for the 2008 campaign.
In their inaugural campaign at the on-campus facility, the Knights went 6-1 at Bright House Networks Stadium in 2007. Head coach George O'Leary's squad finished the season 10-4, claimed the Conference USA Championship and participated in the Liberty Bowl.
The Knights will play six home contests this season, including four against C-USA opponents. The home slate includes a visit from cross-state foe USF on Sept. 6. The squad opens the campaign on Aug. 30, hosting South Carolina State.
Patrons attending the select-a-seat event should enter through Gate 1 at Bright House Networks Stadium. Courtesy parking is available in the Gold Zone "E" lots. Lots E6, E7 and E8 will open at 8 a.m., while E3, E4 and E5 at the UCF Softball Complex will open at noon.
UCF will play its spring game inside the stadium for the first time. The contest will begin at 3 p.m.
Fans who purchase season tickets at the select-a-seat event will receive free admission to the spring game.
The spring game is part of the inaugural UCF Hall of Fame Weekend. Festivities begin Friday night with the hall of fame dinner inside the J. Rolfe Davis Recruiting Room at the stadium.
