ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - Coming off a convincing 6-1 win against Georgia State earlier in the week at the UCF Tennis Complex, the UCF men's tennis team returns to action on Friday against No. 51 Tennessee Tech. First serve at home against the Golden Eagles is set for 9 a.m.
Juniors Tarek Ben Soltane (Tunis, Tunisia) and Brock Sakey (Gulf Breeze, Fla./Gulf Breeze) both won their fifth matches of the season on Wednesday in the win over Georgia State.
After missing the first half of the season due to injury, freshman Blaze Schwartz (Pensacola, Fla./Washington) also won his singles match, the first of the season for the Pensacola native.
UCF (4-5) improved to 2-1 at home with the win.
Tennessee Tech is 7-1 overall, including its 6-1 mark on the road.
The Golden Eagles' two top players are Borja Zarco and Dean O'Brien. Barco is 8-0 this spring at No. 1, while O'Brien is 7-1 in singles play.
The Knights are 2-0 all-time against Tennessee Tech.
