ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The UCF men's soccer team hung tough with Malmo, a Swedish first-division team, on Tuesday afternoon, before falling 2-0 in a spring exhibition match held at the UCF Soccer Complex.

The Knights (0-1-3) presented a strong showing against Malmo, giving up one goal in the first half and one in the second. Earlier this spring season, the UCF played to scoreless ties in 35-minute matches vs. Jacksonville, St. Leo and Stetson in a round-robin tournament on Feb. 23 in Orlando.

"I am proud of the effort and work rate our team showed today," UCF head coach Bryan Cunningham said. "Malmo is one of the best teams in Sweden. They have a lot of good players, and we played well against them today, only giving up two goals."

The Knights return to action on March 28, when they travel to nearby Winter Park, Fla., to face Rollins College at 7 p.m.
