Women's Tennis Hosts Florida Atlantic Saturday at 2 p.m.

ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The UCF women's tennis team will play its 10th-straight match against a school from the Sunshine State when it welcomes Florida Atlantic to town Saturday. First serve is slated for 2 p.m. at the UCF Tennis Complex, and admission is free.

The Knights are coming off a 6-1 loss to No. 43 USF Feb. 27, and own a 4-5 overall record on the year. Junior Kenza Belbacha provided UCF with a singles point vs. the Bulls when she posted a three-set win at the No. 4 spot. With the win, she became the fifth Knight to post at least nine singles victories for 2007-08. Over in doubles, senior Jennifer Carati and junior Elvira Serrot continued to shine by posting a win at No. 2 doubles against USF, improving their record together to 10-6.

Florida Atlantic has gotten off to an 0-4 start with losses to Illinois, USF, Miami and Lynn University. The Owls have not played since Feb. 1 when the dropped a 6-1 decision to Lynn, where Natalia Totevska won at the No. 1 singles spot for FAU.

UCF claims a 19-11 all-time advantage over the Owls, including a 7-0 shutout win in Boca Raton in 2007. The last time the Knights battled FAU during the regular season in Orlando was a 4-3 UCF win Feb. 8, 2002.
