UCF Men's Tennis Notebook - Feb. 26

ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The UCF men's tennis team finished the Conference USA Shootout in Hattiesburg, Miss. with a 1-2 record. The Knights knocked off Southern Miss in the first day of the tournament, 4-3.

The Knights own a 7-2 all-time record at the league event.

MAGIC NUMBER 4
Junior Tarek Ben Soltane (Tunis, Tunisia) improved to 4-0 in singles play after stringing together three wins at the C-USA Shootout. Ben Soltane has one win at No. 4 and three victories at the No. 5 spot.

Junior Brock Sakey (Gulf Breeze, Fla./Gulf Breeze) and sophomore Johan Beigart (Vaxjo, Sweden) also have notched four wins this past weekend. Beigart has earned three of his victories at No. 1.

HOME BOUND
UCF returns home for consecutive matches at the UCF Tennis Complex on March 5 and 7.

The Knights' first contest comes against No. 73 Georgia State at 2 p.m. UCF plays host to Tennessee Tech on Friday at 9 a.m. The Golden Eagles are currently ranked 72nd by the ITA.
