ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The UCF men's tennis team picked up its second victory of the 2008 campaign on Saturday, easing to a 6-1 win at Bethune-Cookman. The Knights will return to the courts on Friday at No. 26 Miami.
Head coach Bobby Cashman's team is beginning the campaign with six-straight matches in Florida.

RATED ROOKIE
Freshman Claudio Romano (Valencia, Venezuela) has won two singles matches this spring. Against Bethune-Cookman, he clinched the match for the Knights, recording a 6-3, 6-2 win against Stefan James at the No. 3 spot. Romano's other victory on the year came at No. 4.
AWAY FROM HOME
The contest at 26th-ranked Miami will be the second of five-straight away from Orlando for the Knights. After meeting the Hurricanes, UCF will play three matches at the Conference USA Shootout in Hattiesburg Miss., starting Feb. 22. Southern Miss is hosting the event. The team's next home tilt is March 5 against No. 72 Georgia State at the UCF Tennis Complex.
