Orlando, FL (www.UCFAthletics.com) - Marty O'Leary, the UCFAA's Director of Football Operations, has been promoted to the role of Assistant Athletics Director for Football Operations, effective immediately. The 2008 football season will mark O'Leary's fifth with UCF football, and fourth overseeing the program's operation.
"Marty has served such a vital role within our football program's success," said Keith R. Tribble, Director of Athletics and Executive Vice President. "This promotion recognizes his past and future contributions to UCF football."
In his role, O'Leary oversees the day-to-day operations of the football program from budget development, to team travel arrangements, as well as the institution of football policies and procedures. He also serves as a liaison between football to academic services, compliance and other campus governing bodies pertaining to football.
Prior to UCF, he worked in the financial field for Invesco Retirement, Inc.
O'Leary graduated from Georgia Tech in 2002 with a degree in business management. He was a member of five bowl teams while at Georgia Tech, including the 1998 ACC Championship team. O'Leary lettered in football as a free safety.
