ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - Supporting the goal of heightening awareness of cardiovascular disease prevention, the UCF women's basketball team will host UAB at 7 p.m. Thursday in its annual "Go Red Game" at the New UCF Arena in conjunction with the American Heart Association.
Go Red for Women is the American Heart association's movement empowering women to fight heart disease, the No. 1 killer of women, by lowering their cardiovascular disease risk factors. All fans are encouraged to wear red to the game to support the Go Red for Women event.
There will be a special Go Red section at the game and there will also be a casting call for the new face of the Go Red for Women movement on the concourse of the New UCF Arena. All females passionate about heart disease prevention are welcome to audition.
Pre-sale tickets are just $3 and should be ordered through Torey Brewer of the UCFAA at (407) 823-4542 or by e-mail at tbrewer@athletics.ucf.edu. Tickets are available at the door for $5.
