Jermaine Taylor averaged 21 points in a pair of games for the Knights. He totaled 22 points in 42 minutes at Sam Houston State and scored 20 points in the team's victory over Long Island in the UCF Holiday Classic title game. On the week, the junior guard shot 50 percent from the field. In 2007-08, Taylor is averaging 19.9 points, which ranks fourth in Conference USA. The Knights' open league play on Tuesday at Southern Miss. The squad hosts Tulsa on Saturday evening at the new UCF Arena.
