The UCF women's basketball team fell on the road at Southern Miss in its only game of the week ... The Knights fell behind 21-3 to begin the game and posted a valiant second-half comeback before falling 84-62 in Reed Green Coliseum ... Freshman forward Emma Cannon led UCF with 12 points as one of three players to score in double figures on Friday ... Freshman forward/center Tia Lewis, the nation's second-leading rebounder, leads four Knights who are averaging double-figure point totals with 12.9 ppg to complement 12.2 rpg ... Cannon follows with 10.7 ppg and 9.3 rpg, while Marshay White and D'Nay Daniels each chip in 10.4 ppg ... UCF returns to action Thursday when it plays host to Marshall in the first contest of a four-game homestand for the Knights ... Tip-off in the New UCF Arena is slated for 7 p.m. EST and the game will be carried live on UCFAthletics.com with Scott Adams.
