At East Carolina, Jermaine Taylor recorded a career-high 32 points to help the Knights to a 71-66 victory. He shot 11-of-16 from the field and made all eight of his free throw attempts. With the Pirates leading 54-51 with 5:12 remaining in the contest, Taylor hit a pair of free throws and then scored inside after grabbing an offensive rebound to give UCF a one-point edge. The Knights would not trail for the rest of the game. Taylor, who has led the Knights in scoring 14 times this year, added six rebounds, three assists and three steals in the victory. In Conference USA play, he is averaging 24.3 points. UCF hosts UTEP Wednesday at the new UCF Arena.
