Kime Named One of 2007's Best Pitchers by CSTV.com

Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - UCF softball's ace hurler, Allison Kime (Brandon, Fla.) was named one of the nation's "Top Pitchers of 2007" by CSTV.com the site announced Wednesday. The senior standout ranked sixth among CSTV.com's top 10 picks.

A 2007 All-Southeast Region first team selection, Kime held the fourth-best ERA in the country at the conclusion of the 2007 season with a 0.87 mark through 40 appearances and 266.1 innings pitched. Her ERA also set a UCF single-season record, along with setting individual-season records for lowest opponent batting average (.159), most strikeouts per seven innings (6.99), most shutouts (15) and most strikeouts (266).

Kime will be entering her senior year when the 2008 softball season gets underway on Feb. 8 at the UCF Softball Complex.
