Jermaine Taylor helped the Knights to a 2-0 start in Conference USA play, averaging 20.5 points and 8.5 rebounds. The junior totaled a game-high 28 points in a career-best 49 minutes in UCF's 97-91 triple-overtime win over Tulsa. Taylor scored seven points in the final overtime, helping the Knights build a six-point edge. He hit four 3-pointers and grabbed a team-high and career-best nine boards in the victory. The shooting guard also led all players with four steals. In UCF's victory at Southern Miss, Taylor scored 13 points and led all players with eight rebounds. UCF plays at East Carolina on Saturday.
