Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - UCF senior Josh Sitton will participate for the East squad in the 2008 Hula Bowl on Jan. 12 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu. Sitton, who will wear his customary No. 70 in Honolulu, is one of five Conference USA players set to line up for the East team. The Hula Bowl will be aired live on the Versus Network at 6 p.m. ET.
For Sitton, it will be his second trip to Aloha Stadium following UCF's match up with Nevada in the 2005 Sheraton Hawaii Bowl. Sitton made 42 starts in his career and joined teammate Keith Shologan as the only two Knights in program history to suit up for 50 games after their appearances in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl on Dec. 29.
Sitton was one of the most versatile lineman in UCF history, making starts at both right guard, left guard and right tackle this season. The Pensacola native concluded his career with 39 starts and helped the Knights set school records this season with 3,287 rushing yards and 41 rushing touchdowns.
