ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The UCF Athletics Association Ticket Office is pleased to announce that single-game tickets for all baseball and softball home games this season go on sale Monday at 9 a.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling 407-823-1000, or by visiting the ticket office on the west side of Bright House Networks Stadium Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Single-game tickets for baseball events are $7 for adults and $5 for senior citizens and youth 2-17 years old. For softball games, adults can enter the gates for $5. UCF students with a valid ID and children four and under are admitted free. Meanwhile, groups of 20 or more can purchase tickets for only $3 each.
Baseball season tickets are already on sale. Reserved seating is $133, UCF faculty and staff are $114 and senior citizens and youth are just $76. Season ticket holders will have exclusive rights to purchase media guides as soon as they are available.
Baseball's schedule features 38 games at Jay Bergman Field, including one doubleheader, beginning with a three-game series vs. Florida A&M Feb. 22-24. Other highlights include a one-game showdown with No. 15 Missouri Feb. 25 and a pair of three-game sets against No. 6 Rice April 25-27 and No. 13 Clemson May 15-17. All three programs made trips to the NCAA Tournament a year ago, with the C-USA champion Owls reaching the College World Series.
The Knights also host Conference USA foes East Carolina, Memphis and UAB, as well as USF, Stetson, Central Michigan, Jacksonville, Monmouth, Pittsburg, Siena, Wagner, North Florida and Florida Gulf Coast during the year.
At the UCF Softball Complex, the Black and Gold has one of the most entertaining home schedules in program history. The Knights' kick off the season, and the home slate, with the UCF Tournament Feb. 8-10, where NC State and Illinois State (both received votes in the 2007 final rankings) are among the teams in the field. No. 13 Michigan, Auburn, Birmingham-Southern, George Mason and Drake invade the complex as well for the second UCF Tournament Feb. 22-24. The Knights and Wolverines clash one more time with a 6 p.m. showdown Feb. 27.
Following tournament play, UCF dives into conference action against East Carolina March 8-9. The Knights' remaining schedule includes Sam Houston State, Liberty, No. 5 Baylor, Jacksonville, Iowa, Tulsa, C-USA champion Houston, Bethune-Cookman, Florida State, Memphis and Stetson.
