Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - UCFAA officials announced Friday that the 2007-08 UCF women's basketball Conference USA games can be heard live exclusively at UCFAthletics.com and will feature Scott Adams as the Knights' play-by-play man.
Fans can tune in for the first live broadcast when UCF hosts Southern Miss on Jan. 5 at 7 p.m. for its C-USA opener at the new UCF Arena.We are excited about this new venture," Associate AD for Athletics Communications Joe Hornstein said. "Anytime you have the opportunity to expand the reach of UCF athletics to our fan base is a great day."
Not only will Adams come to you live from the new UCF Arena this season, but he can also be heard on the road when the Knights visit SMU, Tulsa, Rice, Southern Miss, Marshall, East Carolina, UAB and Memphis.
"Being able to be a part of the continued growth of our athletic programs is a true honor," Adams said. "I am extremely excited to usher in a new chapter of the UCF women's basketball program."
Adams, a 2002 graduate of the UCF Nicholson School of Communications, currently works with the ISP/UCF Sports Network and has been the studio host and lead reporter for the UCF football and men's basketball teams. He has also worked play-by-play for men's basketball during the 2007-08 season. From 2002-06, Adams was a producer and personality on the WQTM-740 The Team afternoon show, "Coach & Company."
Besides radio, Adams is also the feature reporter for the UCF Spring Sports Show that can be seen on Sun Sports Network.
