Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - Following UCF's road-trip to Miami last weekend, the Knights (4-4) kick-off a four-game home stand when they face in-state rival Florida Gulf Coast (2-4) Sunday at the new UCF Arena. Tip-off for the contest is scheduled for 1 p.m.
The Series
? Sunday's game marks the first match-up between UCF and Florida Gulf Coast.
? The Knights are 2-0 this season when playing opponents from the Atlantic Sun Conference, with wins coming over North Florida, 57-47, and Jacksonville, 80-72.
Last Outing
The UCF women's basketball team's second-half rally fell short as the Knights dropped a Sunday afternoon contest to Miami, 64-56, at the BankUnited Center. D'Nay Daniels paced the Black and Gold with 15 points, while Jelisa Caldwell and Marshay White each added 11 points.
Lewis Leading the League
UCF freshman forward/center Tia Lewis ranks fifth in the NCAA and leads Conference USA in rebounds per game with a 12.1 average. She is the only player in the league to be contributing a double-double for her team. The rookie accounts for 14.1 points per game, eighth best in the league, and 12.1 boards. She also tops the chart with a .605 field goal percentage, hitting 49-of-81 attempts, in eight games.

UCF currently ranks 12th in the country in rebouding margin with a 12.4 advantage over its opponents. Mississippi Valley leads the nation with a 24.3 rebounding advantage over its foes.
Previewing Florida Gulf Coast
? The Eagles finished the 2006-07 season with a 34-1 record, suffering their first and only loss in the NCAA Division II National Championship game, 61-45, to Southern Connecticut State in Kearney, Neb.
? This season, Florida Gulf Coast has compiled a 2-4 record in its first season as a NCAA Division I program, recording wins over Central Connecticut State and Gardner Webb. The Eagles have suffered losses to Florida, Florida State, Bowling Green State and Eastern Kentucky. Delia De La Torre leads Florida Gulf Coast with a 16 points-per-game average.
