ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - Ten games into the 2007-08 season, a pair of Knights are among the national leaders in two statistical categories. Junior guard Jermaine Taylor (Tavares, Fla./Tavares) and sophomore forward Tony Davis (Sarasota, Fla./Riverview) are both listed in the NCAA's most recent statistical report.

Taylor is 66th nationally in scoring. He is averaging 18.6 points per game and has led the Knights in the category in seven-consecutive contests. Taylor poured in a career-high 27 points at Nevada on Dec. 16.

Davis, who has seen time in eight games this year, is 87th in the country in blocks per game (1.8). He has totaled 14 this season and established a UCF single-game record with eight swats at USF on Dec. 1.

Davis appeared in all 31 of UCF's contests in 2005-06 as a rookie and recorded only 15 blocks.

The Knights return to the hardwood at home on Dec. 28, hosting traditional power Connecticut at the new UCF Arena. The game is set to begin at 8 p.m. and will be televised live nationally on CSTV.

The Connecticut game is part of a special holiday ticket package that the UCF Athletics Association is currently offering.

For $25, fans will receive tickets to the Connecticut contest and for both of UCF's games at the UCF Holiday Classic (Dec. 30-31). The holiday package provides fans with a $10 discount as tickets to these three contests usually cost $35.
