Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The UCF women's basketball team continues its four-game home-stand when it welcomes former Atlantic Sun-foe Southeastern Louisiana (4-4) to Warden Arena on the campus of Rollins College Saturday night. Tip-off for the event is scheduled for 7 p.m.

In the Top 10
UCF (4-5) moved up in the NCAA statistical ranks last week, placing eighth in the nation in rebounding margin with a 13.1 advantage over its opponents. Before the Dec. 9th rankings were released, the Knights were sitting in the 12th position. Baylor currently leads the nation, out-rebounding its opponents by 17.7 boards per game.

Lewis Leading the League
Freshman forward/center Tia Lewis ranks fifth in the NCAA and leads C-USA in rebounds per game with a 12.0 average. She is one of only two players in the league to be contributing a double-double for her team. The rookie accounts for 14.1 points per game, eighth best in the league, and 12.0 boards. She also ranks 11th in the NCAA and tops the C-USA chart with a .618 field goal percentage, hitting 55-of-89 attempts, in nine games.

The Series
? Saturday's match-up marks the 16th between the two squads, with Southeastern Louisiana holding the 8-7 advantage over UCF.

? The last time the Knights and the Lions met was Nov. 13, 2006, with Southeastern Louisiana defeating the Black and Gold, 67-49, in front of its home crowd at the University Center. UCF's Keunta Miles led all scorers in the game with 19 points, while also adding 11 rebounds. Kristy Carlin had a team-high 16 points in the meeting for the Tigers.

Previewing Southeastern Louisiana
? The Lions return five players from last season's squad that finished the 2006-07 season as the Southland Conference East Division Champions with a 9-7 league record and a 17-13 overall record. Southeastern Louisiana lost four starters from a year ago, but welcomed nine newcomers this season, which includes six freshman.

? This season the Lions are off to a 4-4 start, posting wins over Belhaven College, Memphis, Centenary and William Carey, while suffering losses to Mississippi State, Wofford, Mercer and North Florida. Kristy Carlin leads Southeastern Louisiana with a 13.6 points-per-game average, while Jameica Gross's 7.1 rebounds per game are tops on her team.
