(www.ucfathletics.com) - In an effort to showcase the impressive season UCF junior running back Kevin Smith is churning out in 2007, UCF Athletics Association (UCFAA) officials have launched a new comprehensive website - www.KevinSmith24k.com - to highlight the record-setting season the Knights' No. 24 is putting together.
Smith enters the 11th weekend of the 2007 season leading the nation in scoring (12.67 ppg) and second in rushing yards with his 1,448 yards on 269 carries. Smith's 19 total touchdowns also lead the Football Bowl Subdivision and his 18 rushing scores are tied for the national lead. He is one of only three running backs in the country to register eight 100-yard rushing games in 2007.
The Knights (6-3, 4-1) take to the road for a pair of Conference USA games beginning with division-rival UAB (2-7, 1-4) this Saturday, November 10, in Birmingham, Ala., and the following week against the West division's SMU Mustangs in Dallas, Texas on November 17.
