TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - A pair of UCF women's tennis players advanced Saturday on day two of the Florida State Invitational. Junior Elvira Serrot and freshman Isa Ohlinger both won their respective singles matches and will conclude the event Sunday.
Competing in the backdraw of the gold bracket, Serrot edged Lina Xu of Jacksonville, 7-5, 0-6, 1-0(10-3). Meanwhile, Ohlinger defeated Alice Izomer, 6-1, 5-3 (ret.) in the backdraw of the white bracket. Also representing UCF Saturday, seniors Anna Yakimchenkova and Jennifer Carati suffered losses and will now play for seventh place on Sunday.
