Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The season's sixth installment of 'Lunch with George' is scheduled for this Friday in the recruiting lounge at Bright House Networks Stadium. The one-hour lunch with members of the UCF coaching staff is slated to start at noon.
UCF fans will be able to listen to this year's C-USA Media Coach of the Year as he discusses the Knights' recent journey through the 2007 regular season and the upcoming postseason game on the East Orlando campus. The Knights will battle Tulsa Saturday at Bright House Networks Stadium at noon in the 2007 Conference USA Championship.
This Saturday marks the second time in three seasons that the Golden Hurricane travel to Orlando for the C-USA Championship, as Tulsa defeated UCF in 2005, 44-27, at the Citrus Bowl. However, the Knights topped the Hurricane earlier this year by a 44-23 margin at BHNS.
Friday's event is sponsored by Tropical Ford, and Firehouse Subs will provide lunch for the first 200 fans in attendance. Those attending the lunch are encouraged to park in lots E6 and E7, which are located just east of the UCF football practice fields. Fans will be able to enter the recruiting lounge next to gate 16.
The 2007 campaign is serving as the Knights' first at Bright House Networks Stadium on campus, and Saturday's tilt will be the final game in the new venue's inaugural season.
