ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The holiday season has always been a time to help others and to bring smiles to faces of those around you. The UCF cheerleading program did exactly that on Nov. 21 as the squad took part in the annual Orange County Schools "Teach In."
UCF cheerleaders, dancers and Knightro were on hand at Bonneville Elementary School and they spoke with over 200 children from kindergarten through the fourth grade about UCF, making good choices, working hard in school and being a good citizen.
The Knights also handed out UCF posters, pom poms and signed autographs for the students.
UCF cheerleading is currently preparing to defend its national title, and will compete at the 2008 College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship Jan. 18-20 at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando. Knightro also will represent UCF in the 2008 Mascot National Championship.
