Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - Coming off its second-consecutive win of the season, UCF gears up for a Thanksgiving holiday road-trip this weekend. The Knights will meet up with Rider Friday at the Alumni Gymnasium in Lawrenceville, N.J., at 7 p.m., before traveling to Philadelphia, Pa., Sunday for a 1 p.m. game against LaSalle at the Tom Gola Arena.

UCF used a 48-point second half and a 22-point, 13-rebound performance from Emma Cannon (Rochester, N.Y.) on Monday to defeat Jacksonville, 80-72, at the new UCF Arena. With the win, the Knights moved their overall record to 2-2, their best start since the 2002-03 season.

Cannon's career-performance against the Dolphins gave the freshman her third double-double of the season and ties her for the top spot in the league for the most for an individual this season. Southern Miss' Pauline Love also has three on the year.

Through its first four games, Rider holds a 2-2 record and has already matched its win total from last season. The Broncs have registered wins over Monmouth and Hofstra, while falling to Maryland Baltimore County and Navy.

After going 2-28 in 2006-07, Rider returns 11 letterwinners along with a new coach for the 2007-08 campaign. Former Bronc standout Lynn Milligan is in her first season at the helm of the Rider women's basketball program. Friday's game marks the first match-up between UCF and Rider.

LaSalle welcomes the Knights to Philadelphia with a 2-2 record on the season. The Explorers have recorded wins over Loyola and Albany, with both victories coming at home, while dropping games to Villanova and Drexel. Despite losing Crista Ricketts, the program's most decorated player, from last year's squad, LaSalle returns senior Carlene Hightower for her final season. Hightower was named to the All-Atlantic 10 First Team last season after averaging 17.9 points per game. The Knights and the Explorers will meet for the first time on Sunday.
