Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The Texas Tech women's basketball team had four players record double-digits in points as it downed Northeastern, 82-51, at the UCF Knights Classic Sunday afternoon. Dominic Seals led the Lady Raider charge with a game-high 19 points, while Raquel Christian had 14. Both LaVonda Henderson and Keisha Walker added 10 points for Texas Tech.
The Lady Raiders improved their record to 2-0 on the season, while Northeastern fell to 1-1.
Texas Tech led Northeastern, 41-20, at the half, shooting 55.6% from the floor. The Huskies struggled to put points on the board, shooting 18.9% from the floor and making only seven field goals in the opening half.
The Huskies crept to within 18 points of the Lady Raiders in the second half, going 6-for-6 from the free-throw line and improving their shooting percentage to 39.3%. But, Seal's 12 second half points were too much to overcome.
The Lady Raiders dominated on the boards as well throughout the game, grabbing 82 compared to only 51 for Northeastern, which included a game-high 11 from Seals.
