Men's Tennis will Split for Two Tournaments

Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - On Friday morning, the UCF men's tennis team will split and play in two different tournaments for the final event of the fall season. Head coach Bobby Cashman will take four UCF student-athletes to Tallahassee for the Seminole Invitational. Assistant coach Brandon Stokes will head south with two Knights to the Florida Southern College Fall Invitational.

Traveling with coach Cashman to Florida State will be senior Sinan Sudas (Adana, Turkey), junior Brock Sakey (Gulf Breeze, Fla./Gulf Breeze), sophomore Johan Beigart (Vaxjo, Sweden) and freshman Blaze Schwartz (Pensacola, Fla./Washington).

Beigart is slated to play in flight A singles, while Sakey will play in flight B singles. The duo pair up to play in flight A doubles. Sudas and Schwartz, who are playing together in flight B doubles, will also battle in flight B singles.

The Seminole Invitational, held at Florida State's Scott Speicher Tennis Center, features players from 15 schools, including Georgia, Illinois, Florida and Mississippi. The event begins on Friday morning at 8 a.m. and will conclude on Sunday afternoon.

Junior Jimmy Roesch (Melbourne, Fla./Eau Gallie) and junior Danny Colon (Jacksonville, Fla./Englewood) will compete in the Florida Southern College Fall Invitational.

The USTA-sanctioned event also starts on Friday. The invite, which is held in Lakeland, will end on Monday. The tournament will consist of a field of 32 for singles and 16 for doubles.
