UCF-UAB Game Notes

Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The UCF football team travels to Birmingham, Ala., on Saturday to take on the UAB Blazers in a Conference USA East Division match-up. The Knights and Blazers are set to kickoff at 7:30 ET in a game that will be nationally televised on CSTV.

UCF (6-3, 4-1 C-USA) has won all four meetings between the two teams in a series that dates back to 1996, which was the Knights' first season as a NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision member.

The Knights carry a three-game winning streak into the game at Legion Field after earning bowl eligibility last Saturday with a 47-13 victory over Marshall. UAB (2-7, 1-4 C-USA) will look to snap a three-game losing streak on their home field.

UCF has won the previous two meetings in Birmingham, including the first between the schools as league rivals in 2005. That contest was also broadcast on CSTV as the Knights secured the 27-21 road win.

The Knights are averaging a league-best 43.8 ppg in Conference USA games this season.
