(www.ucfathletics.com) - The UCF volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 (30-13, 30-28, 30-15) victory over The Citadel Tuesday afternoon, marking the first win for any Knights program in the new UCF Arena. Two Knights registered double-digits in kills in the match, with sophomore outside hitter Erin Campbell (Kansas City, Mo.) leading the Black and Gold with 12 kills, while freshman Kerry Brown (Elburn, Ill.) recorded 10.

With the win, the Knights move their record to 9-12 overall and 0-6 in Conference USA action and continue to be undefeated at home in non-conference matches.

"Our offensive numbers were the best they have been all season," head coach Meg Colado said. "We didn't hit below .256, which hasn't happened yet this season. Our offense was definitely firing on all cylinders today."

UCF hit a season-high .421 in the match, which included a .621 clip in the third game of the contest. The Citadel hit .061 in the three-game event. The Knights also outhit the Bulldogs in all three games, registering 57 kills in the three-game contest, with The Citadel putting down 23 kills.

Jenny Heppert (Lawrence, Kan.) hit a match-high .667 with nine kills and three block assists and freshman Blaire Brueggemeyer (Burleson, Texas) hit .500 with nine kills, 37 assists and four service aces. Heppert and Kelly Weaver (Port Orange, Fla.) both hit 1.000 in the third game with three kills apiece.

Kristen Petrasic (Carrollton, Texas) led the floor on the defensive side of the ball, registering 13 digs.

The Knights return to C-USA action Friday when they take on Tulsa at the new UCF Arena at 7 p.m.
