ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The UCF men's golf team is ranked 23rd in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index. Head coach Nick Clinard's Knights are currently competing at the UCNG Bridgestone Collegiate Championship in North Carolina.
UCF has participated in four events this year and has finished in the top-10 in each tournament. Last week, the Knights concluded the 18-team Isleworth-UCF Collegiate Invitational presented by Ruth's Chris Steak House in seventh. The Knights finished ahead of several nationally-ranked teams at the tournament, including No. 6 Florida State and defending national champion Stanford.
The latest performance index lists UCF's schedule as the 16th toughest slate in the country.
In the index's individual rankings, UCF freshman Jhared Hack (Sanford, Fla./Circle Christian) is rated 39th. Hack tied for 10th at the Isleworth event and has three top-10 showings this fall.
Play at the UNCG Bridgestone Collegiate Championship will conclude on Tuesday afternoon.
