Oct. 26, 2007

ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - Coming off of a strong showing at the Isleworth-UCF Collegiate Invitational presented by Ruth's Chris Steak House, the UCF men's golf team will return to action on Monday. The Knights will compete at the two-day, three-round UNCG Bridgestone Golf Collegiate Championship in Greensboro, N.C.

The 15-team event will occur at the Forest Oaks Country Club. Forest Oaks hosts a PGA TOUR event each season.

In addition to the No. 26 Knights, four teams in the top-30 of the Golfstat NCAA rankings will be in action at the tournament: Wake Forest (8), Indiana (22), North Carolina (24) and Arkansas (28).

Juniors David Johnson (Palm Bay, Fla./Melbourne) and Greg Forest (Palm City, Fla./Martin County), sophomore Nuno Henriques (Funchal, Portugal) and freshman Jhared Hack (Sanford, Fla./Circle Christian) will all be in action for the Knights. The squad's fifth player will be determined prior to the tournament.

On Tuesday, UCF finished seventh at the Iselworth event, ahead of several top-25 squads. Hack tied for 10th in the individual standings and was selected as the Conference USA Golfer of the Week for his efforts.

The UNCG Bridgestone Golf Collegiate Championship will be the Knights' fifth and final tournament of the fall campaign.
