Oct. 24, 2007

ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - Thanks to a seventh-place showing at the prestigious Isleworth-UCF Collegiate Invitational presented by Ruth's Chris Steak House, the UCF men's golf team has moved to No. 26 in the Golfstat NCAA Head-to-Head Standings. Head coach Nick Clinard's Knights recorded a strong showing at the 18-team event from Oct. 21-23.

UCF finished ahead of several ranked teams at the Isleworth event, including No. 6 Florida State and defending national champion Stanford. Freshman Jhared Hack (Sanford, Fla./Circle Christian) tied for 10th at the tournament and was named the C-USA Golfer of the Week for his efforts.

Junior David Johnson (Palm Bay, Fla./Melbourne) tied for 16th as three Knights finished in the top-25.

This fall, the Knights have competed in four events. UCF will conclude the fall campaign this weekend, participating in the UNCG Bridgestone Collegiate in North Carolina.
