ORLANDO - With the lights set to beam across Bright House Networks Stadium for the facility's first night game, the UCF football team welcomes Louisiana-Lafayette to the Orlando campus Saturday at 6 p.m. The Knights (2-1) are coming off a 56-20 triumph in their Conference USA opener vs. Memphis Sept. 22.

UCF's meeting vs. the Ragin' Cajuns (0-4) concludes a three-game homestand for the Knights, who will not play at home again until Oct. 20 when the Black and Gold face off with Tulsa. UCF has won the three previous meetings with UL, including a 24-21 last-second victory in 2005 at Lafayette.

Through the first three games of the season, UCF has been sparked by junior Kevin Smith. The tailback has posted 100-yard rushing performances in all three contests, and ranks third in the nation in rushing yards per game with a 163.33 average even though he sat out the majority of the second half last weekend.

As Smith paces the Knights' ground game, the Ragin' Cajuns will counter with a dual-threat quarterback, who also can be elusive as Michael Desormeaux has three 100-yard rushing efforts to his credit in 2007.

While there is no television coverage Saturday, fans that have an all-access pass can still watch the game by going to www.UCFAthletics.com.

In the Sunshine State, the contest can be heard on the UCF-ISP Sports Network and its flagship station, WQTM 740-AM in Orlando. Network affiliates include WMMV 1350-AM (Cocoa), WDCF 1350-AM (Dade City), WORD 1340-AM (Daytona Beach), WMMB 1240-AM (Melbourne), WLVJ 1040-AM/WKAT 1360-AM (Miami, Fort Lauderdale, South Palm Beach County), WPSL 1590-AM (Treasure Coast, North Palm Beach County) and WZHR-1400-AM (Zephyrhills).

Marc Daniels will provide the play-by-play, Gary Parris will have the analysis and Jerry O'Neill will man the sidelines for the UCF broadcast. Scott Adams is the studio host. Tickets to see the Knights battle the Ragin' Cajuns in person are still available, and can be purchased at the stadium or by calling (407) UCF-1000.
