Sept. 25, 2007
Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The second installment of this season's 'Lunch with George' is set for this Friday, Sept. 28, at Noon in the recruiting lounge located behind the south endzone at Bright House Networks Stadium.
UCF fans will have the chance to hear from head coach George O'Leary as the Knights prepare to face Louisiana-Lafayette at 6 p.m. in their first night game at Bright House Networks Stadium. The fourth-year coach will also discuss his team's performance from last Saturday when the Knights rolled past Memphis, 56-20, in the Conference USA opener for both schools.
All nine assistant coaches on O'Leary's staff were also in attendance and chimed in on different questions asked by the audience. The head coach game away six tickets to the Memphis game to fans, who gave correct answers to his pop quiz questions on UCF football.
The event is sponsored by Tropical Ford and Firehouse Subs will provide lunch for the first 200 fans in attendance. Those attending the lunch are encouraged to park in lots E6 and E7, which are located just east of the UCF football practice fields. Fans will be able to enter the recruiting lounge next to gate 16.
`Lunch with George' is scheduled for each Friday prior to the Knights' next three home games. Those dates are Sept. 28, Oct. 19 and Nov. 2.
The 2007 campaign is serving as the Knights' first at Bright House Networks Stadium on campus. Season-ticket packages are still available for the remaining five home games and can be purchased by calling 407-UCF-1000.
