Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - Following a second-place finish at the USF Best Western Invitational Sept. 13-15, two UCF volleyball players were named to the All-Tournament Team. Senior libero Cassie Ramaekers (Blue Grass, Iowa) and junior outside hitter Erin Campbell (Kansas City, Mo.) both earned a place on the team after leading the Knights to a 2-1 finish at the event, with wins coming against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and George Mason.
Ramaekers averaged 3.55 digs per game, totaling 39 digs over the course of the weekend. In the Knights win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Ramaekers had 19 digs, and added a match-high 15 digs against George Mason. The senior also served up three service aces and three assists at the event.
Campbell recorded her third double-double of the season against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi with 16 kills and 20 digs on her way to totaling 34 kills and 40 digs at the USF Best Western Invitational. In Thursday's match versus the host USF, the junior had nine kills, 11 digs and four service aces, while also registering nine kills and nine digs in the win over George Mason.
