Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - A record crowd of more than 2,000 UCF football supporters turned out for the team's annual `Fan Day' on Saturday at the practice fields. Head Coach George O'Leary, his assistant coaching staff and the 2007 Knights signed autographs and had photographs taken for just over two hours.

Fans on site were having the coaches and players sign posters, game replica helmets, mini-helmets, t-shirts, hats, photographs, media guides, the new season tickets that were recently mailed out and even renderings of the Knights' new home Bright House Networks Stadium were being autographed.

The UCF marketing staff provided schedule posters and magnets for the fans, while the sales staff continued its push of season-ticket sales for the 2007 season. That total is closing on 23,000 tickets sold for the inaugural season at the new on-campus stadium.

UCF football sponsors Florida Hospital, Holler Classic Automotive Group and McDonald's were also in attendance to help spread the word of their various outreach programs for the upcoming season.

Employees from UCFphotos.com were taking pre-orders for a special panoramic shot of the opening kickoff at Bright House Networks Stadium. UCFphotos.com is the exclusive fan source for UCF action photography.

The Knights open the 2007 campaign on Sept. 1 at NC State. The team will make its home debut in Bright House Networks Stadium vs. Texas on Sept. 15. Season tickets for the first season at the on-campus stadium are still available and can be purchased by calling 407-UCF-1000.
