ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - UCF Director of Athletics and Executive Vice President Keith R. Tribble announced on Wednesday that Lisa Danner has been hired as assistant athletics director for compliance. Danner is expected to report on Aug. 13.
In her new position, Danner will oversee all aspects of UCF's compliance office, including the development and maintenance of the athletics association's compliance with NCAA, Conference USA, UCF and UCFAA policies and procedures.
Danner comes to UCF after almost two years as assistant director of compliance at the Mountain West Conference. Among her duties at the MWC were researching interpretive issues, working with membership squad lists and National Letters of Intent, assisting in the review of new legislative proposals and supervising the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
Prior to arriving at the MWC, Danner was the compliance and academic advising coordinator at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and served as a special events assistant at the National Association of Women Athletics Administrators. In addition, she spent two years as a compliance graduate assistant at the University of West Florida.

Lisa's experience with a national conference and working with all of its member institutions will prove invaluable for us as we continue to monitor and enforce our own NCAA compliance."
A four-year letterwinner on the UNCW women's soccer team, Danner was a member of SAAC and received the UNCW Golden Seahawk Academic Award three consecutive years.
Danner holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from UNCW and a master's degree in business administration from West Florida.
