Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - In an effort to inform fans about the Knights' inaugural season at Bright House Networks Stadium, the UCF Athletics Association (UCFAA) has launched a comprehensive football event day Web site - www.UCFGameDay.com. The Web site contains detailed information about the stadium and game day rules and procedures.
The Knights make their on-campus debut at the 45,000-seat stadium on Sept. 15 against Texas. UCF is scheduled to play six contests this year at Bright House Networks Stadium.
The Web site contains information about parking, tailgating and transportation. Fans can also visit the site to view a Bright House Networks Stadium map and seating chart.
"This site was created to assist the thousands of fans who will be coming to Bright House Networks Stadium to cheer on the Knights," said UCF director of athletics and executive vice president Keith R. Tribble. "By visiting this site, our fans can acquire information that will help make their visit to campus more enjoyable. Additionally, this site will be a benefit for the visiting team's supporters."
Ticket information is available on the Web site, which also includes a look at UCF's athletics traditions.
The Knights will be playing on campus for the first time after 28 seasons at the Florida Citrus Bowl in downtown Orlando.
The Web site was created in conjunction with UCF's marketing, news and information, and community relations departments. The office of the president also contributed to the site.
College Sports Television (CSTV) online built the Web site. CSTV has operated the official site for UCF athletics (www.ucfathletics.com) since 2004.
