NORMAN, Okla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - UCF's Giwon Suh (Orlando, Fla./Olympia), who is entering his senior season with the UCF's men's golf team, has earned All-America Scholar recognition from the Golf Coaches Association of America. Juniors and seniors with a 3.2 minimum cumulative grade-point average and a stroke average of under 76 are eligible for the award.
A member of the Knights' squad that competed in the NCAA East Regional this past season, Suh is majoring in liberal studies and is pursuing a minor in commerce.
He played in 10 events during the 2006-07 campaign, posting a pair of top-20 finishes. In February, he tied for 11th at the John Hayt Invitational in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.
This past April, Suh garnered a spot on the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll.
Suh is the fourth UCF player to garner GCAA All-America Scholar honors during head coach Nick Clinard's six-year tenure with the Knights.
