ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The college basketball season will not start until November, but the court that the Knights will play on in the Convocation Center has already been developed. Praters Incorporated recently refurbished UCF's new game floor in Chattanooga, Tenn.

The floor was painted last week and UCF's new full logo was placed at center court. Later in July, the court will be delivered in Orlando and installed inside the Convocation Center.

Both the UCF men's and women's squads will make their debuts at the 10,000-seat Convocation Center this fall.

Built by Connor Hardwood Courts, the floor was used at an NCAA Tournament site this past spring. The Knights' court features the new men's 3-point line (20 feet, 9 inches), in addition to the women's 3-point line (19 feet, 9 inches).

The court also features the Conference USA logo at the free-throw lines.

From 1991 until last season, the Knights played their home games at the 5,100-seat UCF Arena. Prior to the 2005-06 campaign, the arena floor was refurbished. At that time, an updated UCF logo was added at center court, C-USA logos were painted at the free-throw lines and two updated UCF Arena logos were also added.

Construction on the Convocation Center is expected to conclude in July or August.

Fans can currently place a deposit for men's basketball season tickets by calling (407) 823-1000.
