UCF Baseball Signee Hill Named Louisville Slugger High School All-American

June 17, 2007

ORLANDO, Fla. - Hunter Hill, one of the UCF baseball team's top freshman for the 2007-08 season, was recently named a Louisville Slugger High School All-American, as selected by Collegiate Baseball newspaper. The right-handed pitcher just completed his senior season with Prestonwood Christian Academy (Texas) and was taken in the 38th round by the Texas Rangers in the 2007 First-Year Player Draft.

A native of Dallas, Texas, Hill was a 2007 Preseason All-American and did not disappoint last year. The 5-foot-11 hurler went 11-0 with a whopping 0.57 ERA, striking out 100 in just 49.1 innings. As a junior, he was an all-state honoree and the 2006 TAPPS (Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools) District 2-5A MVP.
