Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The UCF football team added yet another game to its growing list of scheduled broadcasts for the upcoming 2007 season on Tuesday after the Atlantic Coast Conference released its games to be carried on the ESPN family of service providers.
The Knights were among four Conference USA schools that will face an ACC opponent on an ESPN network this season after their season-opening tilt with North Carolina State was selected for live on ESPN360.com on Sept. 1, at 6:30 p.m.
Besides the addition of the on-line broadcast for the season-opener, the Knights will appear on television seven times during the 2007 campaign, including five nationally televised contests. Two of those contests will be on the ESPN family of networks, including the home opener vs. Texas on ESPN2. The Knights' opener at Bright House Networks Stadium vs. the Longhorns is slated for Saturday, Sept. 15 at 3:30 p.m.
A match-up with C-USA East Division foe Southern Miss is the only non-Saturday game on the Knights schedule as they will face the Golden Eagles on Sunday, Oct. 28 at 8 p.m. on ESPN.
UCF will appear on CSTV three times during the course of the season with all games time slated for 7:30 p.m. The trio of CSTV contests are at East Carolina (10/6), at UAB (11/10) and the regular-season finale vs. UTEP (11/24).
