ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - "UCF Sports Today" airs this Wednesday on Sun Sports and chronicles former UCF star Mike Walker on National Football League Draft day. Cameras from the show were on hand Saturday as Walker watched the draft along with his family in Orlando.
The wide receiver was selected in the third round by Jacksonville with the 79th pick of the draft.
The 30-minute program also includes a story about the Knights' grounds crew and a profile of the three seniors from the softball team: Cici Alvarez, Kacie Feaster and Amber Lamb.
In addition to airing on Sun Sports, the program will be broadcast on the UCF Channel (channel 19 on the UCF campus), WBCC-DT and WBCC-TV several times this week. Associated with PBS, WBCC-TV is available throughout central Florida. The station can be found at DirecTv (channel 957) and Dish Network (channel 8282). WBCC-DT is digital channel 68.2.
UCF's radio voice, Marc Daniels, hosts the program along with Scott Adams. The program is produced by UCF athletics, ISP Sports, the UCF Channel and Nate Kalaf of Tall Palms Creative.
Adams will close the show with Keith Tribble for an "Ask the AD" segment.
