PRINCETON, N.J. Fla. (www.UCFAthletics.com) - With the South/Central Regional Championship just days away, UCF remained at No. 11 in the latest USRowing/Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association NCAA Division I Varsity Eight Coaches Poll released by USRowing on Wednesday.
It marked the second consecutive week that the Knights held their position just outside the top 10. Earlier in the season, they jumped to No. 9, the highest ranking in program history.
The rest of the varsity eight poll also remained the same as Southern California retained the top spot for the third consecutive week followed by Yale, Notre Dame, Brown and Virginia.
Meanwhile, the top six in the USRowing Lightweight Eight Collegiate Coaches Poll also stacked up the same way for the fourth straight week. No. 1 Wisconsin continued to earn the slight edge over Princeton as Stanford claimed the No. 3 spot. Harvard was again at No. 4 and Georgetown at No. 5. The Knights retained the No. 6 position.
