Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - UCF, in conjunction with Conference USA, announced on Tuesday that every game of the 2007 Conference USA Championship presented by Coca-Cola will be broadcast online. UCF and ISP Sports will air any game that is not picked up by a participating institution. To access the schedule of games and "listen live" links, fans may click on www.conferenceusa.com or www.ucfathletics.com.
"Since the technology is now available, we felt that the opportunity to showcase all of the softball championship games online was a great way to give our league full exposure," Assistant Director of Media Relations for Conference USA, Tod Meisner said. "It will be exciting to let all of our fans who can not make the trip to Orlando have the opportunity to listen to our games. We hope to bring similar coverage to all of our championships in the near future."
Tournament host, UCF (35-21, 11-10 C-USA), clinched a berth in the C-USA Championship presented by Coca-Cola following its C-USA sweep of UTEP last weekend, taking claim to the fourth spot in the standings. Houston (37-15, 18-3 C-USA) captured the C-USA regular-season championship and the top seed in the tournament after recording wins on Saturday and Sunday. Also claiming one of the six spots in the C-USA Championship presented by Coca-Cola are East Carolina and Tulsa. With only six squads making the event, this weekend's league action will determine who will earn the last two spots on the list.
