ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The UCF men's tennis team dropped a 4-3 match to visiting Jacksonville on Saturday afternoon at the UCF Tennis Complex. The Golden Knights were playing their final home match this season.

UCF (12-10) won the doubles point to start the contest, but the Dolphins, who improved to 12-6, claimed four of six singles tilts to take the victory.

Jordi Ballester clinched the win for Jacksonville, defeating junior Sinan Sudas (Adana, Turkey) at No. 1 (4-6, 7-5, 6-3). UCF's singles victories came at the No. 3 and No. 6 positions.

Playing at home for the final time, senior Ener Gursoy (Adana, Turkey) eased past Vinicius Craveiro at No. 6, 6-1, 6-2. At No. 3, sophomore Johan Beigart (Vaxjo, Sweden) was a 6-4, 6-4 winner over Ernesto Ramos.

To begin the match, the Golden Knights won all three singles contests. At No. 1, sophomores Norman Alcantara (Mexico City, Mexico) and Brock Sakey (Gulf Breeze, Fla./Gulf Breeze) topped Ramos and Franciso Riveroll, 8-4. Also posting an 8-4 victory were Beigart and Gursoy. The pair handled Ballester and Victor Vaz at No. 2. Sudas and freshman Danny Colon (Jacksonville, Fla./Englewood) recorded an 8-5 win against Craveiro and Marcos Oliveira at No. 3.

The Golden Knights will conclude the regular season on Wednesday at North Florida.
