IRVING, Texas (www.ucfathletics.com) - A total of 190 UCF student-athletes have earned recognition on the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll during the 2006-07 academic year, the league office announced on Tuesday. Student-athletes named to the commissioner's honor roll must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better.

UCF placed the highest number of student-athletes on the honor roll among the programs in the 12-team league. SMU followed behind the Knights with 188 and Rice ranked third with 183.

The Knights had a total of 36 members of the rowing team make the honor roll. Although C-USA does not sponsor rowing, the commissioner's honor roll recognizes the student-athletes for their academic achievements. UCF also had an impressive 22 women's soccer athletes, 20 football players and 17 baseball players make the honor roll.
