UCF Women's Tennis Hosts Last Home Match on Monday

Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - UCF seniors Becky Gordon and Megan Hunter will play at the UCF Tennis Complex one last time on Monday as the Knights take on Louisville. Play is scheduled for 2 p.m. and admission to the UCF Tennis Complex is free.

Gordon, who came to UCF in 2004, has a notable 15-8 singles record on the 2007 season including two five-match winning streaks. In doubles action Gordon and partner Jennifer Carati served up an 8-9 record on the year. Hunter, who has spent all four years at UCF, also paired with Carati in doubles in 2007 and the duo is currently at an impressive 5-1 record. In singles, Hunter is 13-9 overall including a big win over Kyla Iwinski from No. 35 ranked Denver.

The pair of seniors, as well as the rest of the Knights, will take on the Louisville Cardinals (8-12) in their last home event. UCF has met with Louisville eight times in the past resulting in a 5-3 all-time advantage for the Black and Gold.

After Monday's match, the Knights will travel to Tulsa, Okla., for the Conference USA Championship. The tournament is set to kick-off on Thursday, April 19, and last through Sunday, April 22. The winner receives an automatic bye into the NCAA Tournament.
