UCF Women's Tennis Takes on Xavier at Home

Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - After four-straight victories, UCF will take on Xavier at home on Wednesday. The match is set for 9 a.m. and admission to all home matches at the UCF Tennis Complex is free.

UCF's most recent match was held March 4 as the Golden Knights defeated UNC Greensboro, 6-1. With the win, junior Kyla McNicol improved to 7-2 and senior Megan Hunter is now 9-6 overall in singles play.

Xavier is 3-2 on the season with wins over Eastern Kentucky, Southern Illinois and Rutgers and tough losses to Indiana State and Bowling Green. This Wednesday will mark the second meeting between UCF and Xavier in women's tennis. The first contest between the two schools was held in 2004 and resulted in a 5-2 UCF victory.

After this Wednesday's contest, the Golden Knights will be traveling to California for their next two matches as they take on UC Irvine Monday, March 12, and Cal State Fullerton on Tuesday, March 13. Play is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.
